About Effi Shaked, LCSW

Effi Shaked was born and raised in Israel. Her first career was in Computer Science, as a systems developer. She earned a BA degree in Psychology and Computer Science and a MA degree in Computing in Education. In her twenties, she moved to the US and worked in Wall Street as a software engineer.

Following her heart and passion for people, Effi pursued a career change and earned an MSW degree from NYU and post graduate training in Family and Couples therapy, specializing in the ARA – Ackerman Relational Approach and techniques. She resides with her family in Bergen County, NJ and keeps a strong relationship with her Israeli roots. Effi speaks and practices in both English and Hebrew.
